Robert D. Ohmart, 1938-2018
One of the titans of southwestern ecology has left us. Robert D. Ohmart passed away peacefully at his home in Chandler, Arizona on 14 January 2018 surrounded by his loving family. The 2017 Fall Arizona Riparian Council campout will be Saturday-Sunday, October 7-8 at the Bonita Creek Campground ~ 20 miles northeast of Safford. Bonita Creek is a tributary of the lower Gila River Box has been cancelled.

Wa:k Hikdan Project Field Trip Tour
On April 10, 2015, the Arizona Riparian Council toured the Hik:dan Project, where the San Xavier District, Tohono O’odham Nation is using Central Arizona Project water to restore riparian ecosystem components to the Santa Cruz River.
